This deck renovation in Waukesha, WI, was designed to fully showcase the homeowners’ breathtaking view of the surrounding woods. The original deck was oversized and featured a bulky, weathered wood railing that significantly obstructed the view from inside the home. After a detailed consultation, we provided the homeowners with 3D renderings of the proposed design, along with multiple decking color samples to ensure they selected an option they truly loved. We ultimately decided to scale back the deck’s footprint to open up the sightlines and better frame the natural landscape. The chosen decking features warm, earthy tones that complement the home’s exterior and reflect the surrounding environment. To complete the transformation, we installed a sleek, modern cable railing system, offering a clean, open aesthetic and allowing for an uninterrupted, panoramic view of the beautiful scenery.
